Flash runs in guest mode: no email account required. Here’s, plainly, what moves so video dating can work.
What you give us
Nickname, gender, and who you’re looking for. That information is used for matching and to show who you are during the call. It’s tied to a signed session cookie on your device.
Video & audio
Camera/mic streams go through our partner LiveKit for the real-time call. Flash does not store your call recordings.
Matches & queue
The waiting queue, sessions, and match list are stored temporarily (Redis) to run the product. Matches stay available for video recall.
Your controls
You can leave a call anytime, change nickname by starting over from the home page, and limit what your camera shows. For any request about your data, contact the Flash team via the channel listed on the deployment.
